2025 Bucket List

We've all heard of a bucket list—the epic collection of things you want to do before you "kick the bucket."

Last year, when I was reflecting on the seriousness of making a bucket list of things you want to do before you die, I had the idea to create a bucket list for the year instead. Why not make it lighter and more playful? Why not give ourselves an easier chunk of time to work with?

So I took that idea and I played with it. I wrote a blog post, email newsletter, and created a MindScape experience for my MMA community all centering around this idea--and it was a ton of fun!

I'm back at it today and here to offer you a new perspective...

What if you created a 2025 bucket list?

What would you put on it? What experiences would you dive into, try, or explore? What would you stretch yourself toward this year?

I’m not talking about goals. No, let’s ditch the to-do list mindset for now.

Let’s stay out of our heads and drop into your heart. Because this is where the magic happens. (The mind is typically the 'wise guy' getting in the way of our desires with logic).

I want you to dream big. I’m talking about the things that light you up like a Christmas tree!

These are the soul-stretching dreams, the desires you’ve been toying with, and the things that have always been on your radar, but you haven’t pulled the trigger on yet.

I’m talking about the experiences you’ve been yearning for, but haven’t prioritized.

We always think we have all the time in the world, don’t we? But do we? What if we treated our time as the sacred gift it is?

We could all stand to cut a little social media scrolling from our lives. So why not use that precious time to invest in something that has been tugging at your heart?

Here’s your invitation: Grab a journal, a pen, and take a seat with these questions.

Let your mind slow down. Drop into your heart. Notice what rises. Notice the old memories, the whispers of longing, the desires that flutter in your belly.

What would stretch you?

What have you been curious to explore?

What would you love to experience?

What would fill you with pure joy?

What would make your eyes sparkle as you stretch yourself to make it happen?

Don’t worry—it doesn’t need to be massive. After jotting down your thoughts, sit with your list. Which ones feel like priorities for 2025? There’s no right or wrong—only possibilities.

Here’s a peek at my 2025 Bucket List:

  • Try new fitness classes

  • Take a fused glass class

  • Try a glassblowing workshop

  • Explore pottery

  • Let myself be passionate + sparkly again

  • Ranchman’s with my besties

  • Attend a Mark Groves event or retreat

  • Go on a solo trip to somewhere magical

  • Take my kids on a travel adventure

  • Attend concerts that set my soul on fire

  • Start a podcast

  • Learn about boundaries work & nervous system regulation

  • Heal money stories and embrace abundance

  • Stretch my comfort zone on the regular

  • Take my kids to mind-opening experiences

  • Activate my soul fire

  • Listen to more podcasts

  • Try one healing event in the community every month

  • Utilize my healing resources

  • Attend more networking events (big comfort zone stretch for me!)

Now, it’s your turn. Pause. Breathe.

Slow your mind down and connect to your heart.

What would make you feel lit up to do in 2025?

Once you've written it down, don’t worry if you think of more ideas later. It’s not written in stone. Let it evolve. Then, choose a few items to prioritize—start with the ones that excite you most. The energy of excitement will help push you past any resistance.

I’ve already kicked off some of mine for 2025:

  • New Year's Eve cold plunge to kick off 2025. Magic. Comfort zone explosion. CHECK.

  • Attended a kickboxing class. CHECK.

  • Tried a Lagree class. CHECK.

  • Went to a hot yoga class. CHECK.

  • Began an online Boundaries course. CHECK.

  • Listening to Cathy Heller's podcast: Abundant Ever After. Money work IN PROGRESS.

  • Took my kids to watch a track meet. Soul spark activated. So many enriching, learning lessons.CHECK.

  • Took my kids to the Huskies volleyball games. Soul spark activated. CHECK.

  • Had a podcast meeting! IN PROGRESS

  • Started researching trip ideas. IN PROGRESS

  • Attended a Mark Groves workshop (online) about nervous system regulation. DOUBLE CHECK.

That’s a solid start, right? Now let’s keep the momentum rolling.

Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Here’s why:

Because when you stretch, you feel alive.

It will require you to reconnect with what lights you up.

It will ask you to heal the parts of you that have been holding back.

It will demand that you honor your worth and your desires.

It will challenge you to push past your comfort zone (yes, it’s cozy there, but growth happens outside of it).

It will test your excuses and challenge the beliefs that limit you.

And with every single shift, you’ll grow closer to the real you—your heart, your intuition, and the desires that make your soul sing.

So, what will you do to light yourself up in 2025?
